Roles
Owner sees everything and is the only role that can change business settings. Manager runs the day-to-day — bookings, customers, schedule — without settings. Staff see their own work: their schedule, their visits, their own availability.
Staff land on 'My work' when they sign in, because the Overview page is the business's whole picture and most of it is not theirs to see.
What they find there is the worker portal: their schedule, today's visits, their hours and availability, assignments and open shifts, time off, their own documents and profile, messages and notifications. Each section shows what your business has switched on for them
Assigning someone to a booking
Open a booking and choose a member of your roster. The list is in alphabetical order, and that is deliberate: Sitterz does not rank, score, suggest or match your staff. Choosing who goes to a family is your business's judgment, and the software's job is to record it.
After you assign, if that person now has two overlapping bookings we tell you. That is a scheduling collision — a fact — and never a comment about the person.
Their own availability
Each staff member can have their own weekly availability, and it does real work: it narrows the times they can be booked for, and it never overrides the hours your business publishes.
You can set it for them under Schedule → Availability, and a staff member can keep their own up to date under My work → Availability; both write the same record.
